An-Najah National University, represented by Prof. Abdel Naser Zaid, University President, signed an MOU with the Palestinian Center for Agricultural Research and Development (PCARD), represented by Mr. Salah Abu Asheh, Director-General on Monday, November 8, 2021 to advance collaboration in agricultural research and development.


The MOU paves the way for great synergy between the two institutions, and defines the frame for future cooperation between An-Najah University and PCARD in terms of introducing modern technology and its applications (e.g. artificial intelligence) into the Faculty of Agriculture and veterinary medicine's study plans in partnership with the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at the University.

The agreement also focuses on research cooperation and expertise ‎exchange both parties in the field of technology and agriculture. ‎

Both parties referred to the importance of strengthening the strategic and structured cooperation between them through various types of cooperation models. These models include training opportunities for the University students ‎to put theory into practice and achieve their full potential, both personally and professionally.

 “This agreement will allow both parties to contribute to improved coordination in terms of developing new academic programs in agricultural education, and also to ensure exchange of data to the benefit of the agricultural sector in the Palestine,” explained Prof. Zaid.
