Dr. Bassam Abu Shanab ; from the Faculty of Agriculture & Vet. Medicine, had participated "by oral presentation" in the 2^nd Public Health Conference;“Public health in Palestine: challenges, research and implications” Which has been held at Al-Quds University, Main Campus, Abu Deis, 25 April 2013, representing the Faculty of Agriculrure & Vet. Medicine, An-Najah National University.

His research study was entitelled as: Prevalence of overweight and obesity and their associations with dietary habits among students from An-Najah National University: "A cross-sectional study”. 

At the panel discussion and conference recommendations  in the main theater Dr. Kuloud Kh. Dajani ; the chair, had thanked all the participants specially  those of An-Najah National University, appreciated the research of prevalence of obesity, and encouraged for further researches ,taking in concederation that An-Najah University offers MPHin health prevention and promotion. Dr. Suleiman Alkhalil ; The Dean Faculty, thanked Dr. Abu Shanab for his elegant work and participation in the conference.
