Dr. Munqeth Shtayyeh and a student group from the Plant Production & Protection Department of the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine at An-Najah University participated in a tree-trimming campaign in Jabara and Kafr 'Abbush villages, which lie near the Israel's separation wall.
The campaign aims to give practical support and assistance to Palestinian farmers and land owners whose lands are threatened with confiscation by the Israeli occupation. It also aims to raise awareness of what is happening to Palestinians in such troubled areas. This activity provided the students with an opportunity to apply the different skills they acquired in a real work environment. In addition, it contributed to equipping students with the necessary skills to be ready for employment as agricultural engineers.
