The purpose of this visit was to review the progress of the "Build Community Resilience and Improve Livelihoods and Food Security through Safe Agricultural Practices in the West Bank, Palestine" (PARC) project, which is funded by AFD and Islamic Relief France (SIF).
The project aims to strengthen the system of safe agricultural practices and implement a set of standards that focus on the management and environmental aspects of farming, worker safety, product traceability, and ensuring the safety of agricultural products for consumption.
The visit included a field tour to explore the facilities of the faculty and familiarize the delegation with the key food products available. Additionally, a presentation was given on the project’s mechanisms and major phases.
In her remarks, Dr. Hiba Al-Fares, Dean of the Faculty, expressed her gratitude to the AFD delegation for their efforts in developing various projects and providing support to Palestinian institutions.
