The frequent use of agricultural pesticides leads to severe health risks for humans, animals, and plants. It also results in the destruction of soil fertility, contamination of the environment, and long-term ecological damage.
In response to these challenges, the "PAL GAP" project was introduced to ensure a safe agricultural environment and provide healthy, pesticide-free food.
This initiative is part of the Community Resilience Building and Livelihoods and Food Security Improvement Project through Good Agricultural Practices (PAL GAP), which is implemented by the Palestinian Economic and Social Development Center (ESDC), funded by the French Development Agency (AFD) and Islamic Relief France (SIF), in partnership with An-Najah National University, and in cooperation with the Palestinian Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) and the Palestinian Standards Institute (PSI).
