Dr. Heba Al-Fares, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine met with the Secours Islamique France – Gaza Strip Office and Al-Azhar University delegation.
The meeting aimed to share opinions, thoughts and observations on future possible areas of collaboration in the fields of safe farming, organic agriculture and veterinary medicine.
During the meeting, Dr. Qubbaj mentioned that the University's Center for Agricultural Training and Research offers the faculty students training programs over a period of a full growing season. These programs focus on training students on speeding up crop growth and implementing the integrated pest management controls approach.
Following the meeting, the delegation was given a tour of the faculty's farm and facilities. The delegates were able to learn more about the Faculty of Agriculture's training units and its farming methods.
