An-Najah National University in partnership with Al-Quds and Hebron Universities signed an MOU with the Palestinian Investment Fund to establish the " Expert and Innovation Center " project. The project aims to develop the agriculture and food industry sector through conducting studies, carrying out research and finding solutions that serve this sector, especially the private sector's companies in Palestine.


Prof. Maher Al-Natsheh, President of An-Najah University, expressed his pride in the partnership with the Palestinian Investment Fund on the one hand, and with the Palestinian universities on the other.

Prof. Natsheh pointed out that this center aims to sustainably increase agricultural productivity and incomes in the agricultural sector through the promotion and dissemination of modern technologies and practices in the agriculture and food industry sector.

He added that the project aims at fostering emergence of a dynamic, responsive, and competitive system of research, science and innovation in the agriculture and food industry sector.

It is worth mentioning that this project is funded by the Dutch government for a period of four years. It is implemented by the Maastricht School of Management for capacity building in cooperation with the Federation of Palestinian Chambers of Commerce and a number of Dutch research institutions.
