An-Najah National University, in collaboration with the Tulkarem Directorate of Agriculture, in partnership with the Palestinian Economic and Social Development Center (ESDC) and the Palestinian Standards Institute (PSI), and with funding from Islamic Relief, has provided agricultural production supplies to 17 farmers from Baka al-Sharqiya and Shufa. This initiative is part of the Community Resilience Building and Livelihoods and Food Security Improvement Project through Good Agricultural Practices (PAL GAP).

The project's objective is to enhance agricultural practices among farmers to produce safe and healthy products. Additionally, it aims to guide farmers in proper farm management, record-keeping, and conducting necessary tests, including soil and water analysis and residue testing. The ultimate goal is to certify farmers with the Palestinian Good Agricultural Practices (PAL GAP) certification, which is registered within the system.

It is worth noting that more than 200 farmers from the Sha'arawiya, Thannabeh, and Kafriat areas were targeted in the second phase of the project, and they will also be provided with the same supplies in the coming period.
